Qld: Mayors angry over compulsory rentals
Queensland indigenous mayors are angry about a state government move to charge housing
rental at a rate of 25 per cent of income.
The mayors were confronted with the compulsory policy at a meeting with state government
ministers in Brisbane today.
They're critical of the lack of consultation and say the policy doesn't take into account
the cost of living in remote areas.
