A housing campaigner who has notched up a string of victoriesover officialdom has won a ruling against the spending watchdog heasked to investigate council spending.
Over the years, housing tenant Alexander Johnston has launchedcomplaint after complaint against Bath and North East SomersetCouncil, his landlord Somer, and now the Audit Commission.
His mission - which has cost hundreds of thousands of pounds inofficials' time and legal advice costs - began in 1998 when B&NESdecided to sell its council houses and flats to Somer.
Mr Johnston and his wife Sue, who live in Larkhall, campaigned invain against the transfer of the council's housing stock.
